Questions 11&12

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. :)

What’s the most unusual injury you’ve obtained? Unusual in the way of the injury itself, how you got it, your choice on how you interpret it.

I’ve had my share of injuries when I was a lot younger; I was pretty reckless. When I was in elementary, I loved “swinging” on the gym bars. You’d sit on top with one leg over the bar and let the other one hang, and do all sorts of multiple “flips” forwards or backwards. I learned it from a kid who did gymnastics in kindergarten.

Anyway, someone had the idea of using your sweater/jacket as a swing, so you can sit in and flip without having to use your legs to hang over the bar. I decided to try it out but panicked (it very much feels like you’d fall off since I wasn’t using my legs to grasp) and slammed my left wrist on the metal bar. One of the adult watchers came and asked if I was okay. I said I was - but I really wasn’t.

I stopped swinging/flipping and my left wrist was rendered useless. I never told my parents about it, though the pain was excruciating. I remember bursting into tears at the slightest touch or nudge on my wrist. My grandma (who was living with us at the time) gave me a muscle rub to use on my wrist, but it didn’t get better. It would be red and swollen. I still don’t know at this point if my wrist was merely sprained or even broke because I refused to tell my parents, I never went to the doctor to get my wrist treated. It eventually healed at some point, but my left wrist is rather weak now.

I guess that wasn’t very unusual - it was just a typical kid-getting-hurt-during-recess incident, but I still don’t know why I never told my parents about it. My wrist probably wouldn’t be so weak now if I had gotten it treated. Unfortunately after that incident, my days of gym bar swinging/flipping were over. :(

Would you reather eat pizza for the rest of your life or eat hamburgers for the rest of your life?

Oh dear, I *love* both - but I definitely tire of pizza much more quickly. I’m not sure why. So, I pick hamburgers :)

Questions 1-10

If a man says something and no women are around to hear it, is he still wrong?
I would think it depends on what he says.

What is the square root of a million?
One thousand.

What does the scouter say about his power level?
IT’S OVER 9000!!!1!1one!1!

How will I do on my midterm?
Hm, I don’t know. Hopefully well, provided you’ve studied. Good luck. :)

how awesome is annant taneja?
Uhh.. well, he’s pretty awesome when he’s not pissing me off (which he does, like, almost all the time). Haha!

What is your DREAM car, no holds (money, life, etc…) barred? (nothing practical :| )
I’ve thought about this, and honestly, I don’t know. I’m pretty picky when it comes to cars…besides, it also depends on what I want to do with said car, which makes me even more indecisive. When I come up with a decent list I’ll put it up. :P

what do you drive?  is it cool?  will you ever (provided you can afford it) modify your car?
I drive a blue Lexus IS 300 (2001). Cool? Well, I like it, but I guess it depends on what you define as a “cool” car, haha. It’s stock, but the previous owner bought it with all the extra add ons. Even if I could afford to, I wouldn’t really mod my car at this point in time. If I had extra money, I’d be saving it. I like cars, but not enough to invest my own time and money into modifying my own.

If I travel at the speed of sound and yell, is it possible to pass the sound by then breaking the sound barrier?
Are you saying that you’ll be able to make a sonic boom by yelling if you’re traveling the speed of sound? Hrm. I honestly don’t know if yelling would have anything to do with it; being able to break the sound barrier is possible by speed. I know sonic booms are made that way. Then again, I don’t know very much about physics, so I could be wrong.
